Hi all, many apologies for not posting lately, but there are many balls in the air and we’re trying to keep the from crashing and burning. But today is the Winter Solstice, after today the days will get longer and the winter of our discontent will pass. I’ll be taking a break for a bit, but don’t worry, there will be more “Astrology for Writers” posts to come in the new year. Everyone is predicting lots of doom and gloom for the momentous 2012, the year the Mayan calendar “ended” I get the feeling that there will be some great waves of energy coming our way and that the best thing to do is ride them, to not back down, to go for it. So, as a way to say “buh-bye” to 2011, here’s some year-ender cheer to kick off the Solstice celebrations:
Here’s s a wonderful re-cut of Charlie Chaplin’s amazing speech in “The Great Dictator”

And dang it, “The Sloths Are Coming”
For all of you who I’ve met through Kristen Lamb’s WANA class, thanks so much for “following” me. The adventure is just beginning. xoxoxoxox Rachel
Thanks for the video cheer Rachel. Wishing you all the best! 🙂
Thanks for taking me back to my Swedish roots! (Swedes are big on solstice, too.) And yes, fun’s just begun… 🙂
I love celebrating the true reason for the “holiday season”
Wonderful videos, Rachel, thanks for sharing.
Here’s to a wonderful holiday season for you and your loved ones!
Thanks, Sheila!

Hi Patricia, aren’t those darn sloths a crack-up. Looking forward to more WANA fun next year.
Those sloths were too cute. I get Animal Planet, so I’ve now programmed my DVR to tape the whole episode of sloth cuteness on Christmas Eve. I know. I’m sad. But I’m a sucker for cute baby animals.
Looking forward to the new year with all my new WANA friends.
Rachel, goodbye to 2011 was priceless. oh my stars – it’s a great recapture of the year. and the sloths make everyone smile. the dictators speech was good too, but you can tell where my heart lies. Merry Christmas. Looking forward to more adventures in 2012.
